Pre-Diploma Program (Freshmen and Sophomores)

Close All | Open All

The application, found here, is available at the beginning of November and due mid January.

This information is found here, along with the application.  It is helpful, although not mandatory, to be in Algebra I in 8th grade which would normally mean being in advanced math at the 6th grade level.  Taking the first year of a language in 8th grade is also recommended, but again, not mandatory.

The pre-Diploma curriculum is an honors based program which prepares students well for both the IB Diploma program or for Advanced Placement classes.  A student really has nothing to lose and much to gain by being in the pre-Diploma program.  The decision to “be in IB” is not really made until the second semester of sophomore year.

Notification of acceptance is mailed in approximately mid-February.

No, students are accepted into the pre-Diploma program for both the freshman and sophomore years; it is the student’s choice to continue after the freshman year.
