Highlights for DMHS and the IB program

• The DMHS IB Program ranks among the top schools in the nation according to US News and World Report, based on the program's success in helping students achieve their IB diploma.
• The DMHS IB program is the only Arizona program to make the US News and World Report list of top IB programs in the country.
• Over 90% of the DMHS IB seniors graduating in 2008 and 2009 earned their IB diploma.
• Twenty-four IB faculty members, two DMHS administrators, and an IB counselor receive International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) specialized training.
• Seventy-five percent of the faculty members hold Masters and other advanced degrees.
• DMHS is ranked in the top 5% of the nation’s high schools by Newsweek.
• AZ, a magazine published by the Arizona Republic, named DMHS as one of the top ten public high schools in the Valley for doing the best job of getting 10th-grade students to pass the statewide 2008 AIMS reading and math exams. DMHS is also tops among those schools for SAT reading and math scores.
• The Arizona Achievement Profile designates DMHS as an “Excelling School."
