IBPA Needs Your Support

The IBPA works with the Desert Mountain IB faculty and administration to gift equipment and instructional materials which enhance the IB program. This is the largest expense item on our budget, and the primary purpose of our fundraising efforts. We ask every parent to help support the Desert Mountain IB program in whatever way they can.

Three Ways to Support the IB Program at DMHS

Charitable Donations to IBPA You may make a charitable donation directly to IBPA either by check or online via PayPal.

  • Checks should be made payable to “DMB Inc – IBPA” and mailed to the IBPA Treasurer – Karen Rogers Sim, 10745 N 112th Place, Scottsdale AZ 85259.
  • Donations by credit or debit card may be made online via a secure PayPal account.  Select the Donate button on the right sidebar of this webpage

Please note that IBPA is a sub-entity of the Desert Mountain Boosters, Inc. which is a tax exempt 501C3 non-profit organization. As such, all donations made to DMB Inc – IBPA are fully deductible for tax purposes to the extent allowed by current laws. For questions contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 2009 Purchase Goals

Tax Credit Donation Arizona offers state taxpayers a unique program where they can redirect a portion of their tax dollars to programs at public schools. This tax credit program allows individuals to make a “designated” donation of up to $200, (and married couples up to $400) to the International Baccalaureate program at Desert Mountain High School and, in return, take an equivalent credit against their taxes owed to the state. Donate online via the www.SUSD.org website or mail in the tax credit form.

In-Kind Gifts The IBPA maintains an ongoing wish list of teacher requests for “in-kind” donations. These include:

  • Palomino Library and Kinko’s copy cards. The Nuremburg Trials project engages ninth grade pre-diploma students in extensive library research and team collaboration. Donated copy cards help offset the financial burden this places on the students.
  • Podium & Bookshelf – The IB English and History department seeks a podium and bookshelf to enhance the mock trial setting of the Nuremburg Trials project.

If you are interested in making an in-kind donation, please send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
